Protecting and Educating Customers
Our robust proactive controls protect our customers while they shop the Amazon store. But we don’t stop there. We give consumers the information they need to protect themselves from bad actors and scale this work through our public and private sector partnerships—making the shopping experience a safer one no matter where they shop.
In addition to the proactive controls we have in place to stop bad actors from entering our store, we provide transparency and education throughout the shopping experience so customers can more easily identify, and protect themselves from, bad actor attempts.
Learn how Amazon works with partners to educate and protect consumers
Amazon works with leading organizations, including consumer, advocacy, local and national enforcement agencies, and research organizations to develop solutions and share best practices to help scale our education efforts and spread awareness about impersonation scam identification and prevention. We help educate consumers on how to take steps to protect themselves and their information online, with campaigns like protectconnect.com, a microsite and public service announcement (PSA) campaign focused on online safety tips, in partnership with the National Cybersecurity Alliance (NCA).
