Amazon launched the Baby Care Safety Handbook in the United States. We also brought this initiative to Japan in December 2025, inspired by trusted Maternal and Child Health Handbooks (MCH Handbook), providing new families with a single, comprehensive resource covering seven essential safety categories—from baby transportation and feeding to sleep safety and beyond.
In 2025, Amazon included product safety inserts in over 800,000 Baby Registry Welcome Boxes, helping new parents make informed decisions about infant product safety.
In the U.S., Canada, Japan, Australia, Germany, the UK, and Spain, consumers can access product safety tip pages featuring expert-vetted guidance on topics like safe sleep, furniture anchoring, car seat safety, and battery storage. Amazon worked with local safety organizations—including Fundación MAPFRE—to develop dedicated product safety tip pages on Amazon.de, Amazon.co.uk, and Amazon.es. As Jesús Monclús from Fundación MAPFRE notes, “Our safety tips offer clear, concise guidance for parents navigating today’s risks.”
Amazon also sends targeted safety emails to customers who purchase baby products in the U.S., UK, Australia, Canada, and Japan, covering critical topics in collaboration with organizations including the Baby Safety Alliance, Child Accident Prevention Trust (CAPT), Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC), the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, and Safe Kids Worldwide.
By collaborating with organizations deeply rooted in their local communities, the information reflects regional safety standards and cultural contexts while maintaining the highest level of expertise.
