Amazon Product Safety Month

Every November, Amazon works with the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) to transform Product Safety Inspection Month into a comprehensive educational experience. Amazon Product Safety Month brings together customers, selling partners, and safety experts through 14 internal and external sessions.

Sessions included targeted Anshin mail communications on high-risk product categories such as Vehicle Road Flares (Emergency Safety Flares), a collaboration session with METI to introduce the Four Product Safety Laws amendment to Chinese sellers, Amazon’s first Product Safety Open House with the National Institute of Technology and Evaluation (NITE) and Selling Partners, and a Product Safety and Brand Protection session with the Nippon Association of Consumer Specialists (NACS).
