Davis Wright Tremaine LLP launched the Scam Justice Legal Clinic with support from Amazon, Pro Bono Institute, and the BBB Institute. The clinic addresses a critical gap by providing scam survivors with free legal advice and education. The clinic helps survivors navigate legal challenges including filing reports with law enforcement, seeking reimbursement from financial institutions, protecting credit, and understanding consumer protection rights.
The clinic is a collaboration between DWT (providing legal leadership and volunteer training), Amazon (contributing expertise from its Customer Protection & Enforcement team), Pro Bono Institute (providing malpractice insurance and pro bono mobilization), and the BBB Institute (serving as the primary referral source). The clinic emphasizes trauma-informed care and equips survivors with practical tools and resources to regain control and seek justice.
Since launching in 2025, the Scam Justice Legal Clinic has provided over a thousand hours of pro bono services to help victims.
