Over two consecutive years, Amazon and 65ymás, a Spanish digital media outlet, have collaborated to raise awareness among older consumers about how to shop safely online in Spain and avoid scams.
The scam prevention campaign launched first in 2024 just before Black Friday to increase awareness and educate senior shoppers during the busiest shopping period of the year on how to identify and report scams. The campaign features educational articles and expert panel discussions on YouTube focused specifically on scam prevention for older consumers. The event reached more than 50,000 people and brings together experts in law enforcement, cybersecurity, banking, and e-commerce.
